Updated: Feb 21, 2023

Friday 8th December 2017

Location : techUK Head Office

Time : 10:00 to 13:00

Secure and timely data sharing across Team Defence offers a multitude of opportunities to improve vital services, increase efficiency and make significant through-life cost savings. Attendees at this techUK event, in partnership with TD Info, Kahootz, and BOXARR, will discuss the potential benefits of data sharing and collaboration throughout the defence sector, particularly surrounding service development across support functions and highlighting which areas are ripe and appropriate for further investment and attention.

Other key areas for discussion will include the challenges of sharing between the private and public sector, both due to sensitive and mission-critical concerns but also a historical culture of scepticism surrounding data sharing. Likewise, facing the challenges of data isolation in complex problem solving, and the prevention of knowledge loss through the churn of personnel. Enduring technical and procedural challenges and the work already being done by organisations like TD Info will also be discussed with a view to making progress in the coming year.

At this early stage, confirmed speakers are:

  • Fraser Hamilton, VP for Global Alliances, BOXARR

  • Phil Williams, Managing Director, TD Info

  • John Glover, Sales and Marketing Director, Kahootz

Chaired by:

  • Ian Kirkwood, Information Superiority Council Chair and Cyber and National Security Lead, QinetiQ Group
